Emirates Post opens three new post offices
Postal network in UAE rises to 119
Dubai, June 14, 2010: Emirates Post has opened four new post offices: Al Quoz 4, Warqa 3 and Muhaisna in Dubai, and Al Zahra in Sharjah. With this, the post office network in the UAE has risen to 119.
All four are full-fledged post offices offering the full bouquet of postal and non-postal services In addition to 1,000 P.O. Boxes. The Al Zahra post office has 3,000 P.O. Boxes. The timings of the post offices are 7.30 am to 3.00 pm, Saturday to Thursday.
The new post offices were inaugurated by Mr. Abdullah Al Ashram, CEO of Emirates, in the presence senior officials of Emirates Post and respective postal zones.
“Keeping our strategic expansion plan in mind, we are pleased to open three new post offices in different areas of Dubai,” said Abdullah Al Ashram. “These post offices have been planned to meet the projected demand of the residents over the next few years. In addition, the portfolio of services is being constantly expanded, to enable people to benefit from multiple services.”
The Al Quoz 4 post office is located near Al Khail Mall; the Warqa 3 post office is situated behind Aswaq supermarket, the Muhaisna post office is located near Al Qusais cemetery and the Al Zahra post office in located near the Sharjah clocktower.
